PHOTO STORY 3 COUNTRY PROJECT

DIRECTIONS:


Students will be required to choose a country of the world and create a digital brochure that will encourage people to come and visit their assigned country. Students will use Photo Story 3 and will be required to choose 8-10 pictures that illustrate their country. A list of various websites below will given for use of this project. Students must have at least one picture for the following categories:

1. LOCATION (CHOOSE A MAP AND IDENTIFY WHERE YOUR COUNTRY IS LOCATED IN THE WORLD)

2. LAND (A PHYSICAL FEATURE THAT MAKES YOUR COUNTRY STAND OUT AMONG OTHER COUNTRIES)

3. CLIMATE (A PICTURE THAT ILLUSTRATES WHAT THE TYPICAL CLIMATE IS LIKE IN YOUR COUNTRY)

4. ECONOMY (WHAT IS ONE OF MAJOR ECONOMIC ACTIVITIES OF YOUR COUNTRY?)

5. GOVERNMENT (WHO IS THE LEADER OF YOUR COUNTRY?)

6. HISTORY (IDENTIFY AN EVENT THAT STILL HAS INFLUENCE ON THE COUNTRY TODAY)

7. CULTURE (CHOOSE A PICTURE OF FOOD, DANCE, RELIGION, SPORTS, ETC)

8. PLACE OF INTEREST (CHOOSE A SIGNIFICANT PLACE THAT PEOPLE WILL WANT TO VISIT IN YOUR COUNTRY

9-10. STUDENT ARE ALLOWED TO CHOOSE THEIR OWN PICTURES AND NARRATE HOW THEIR PICTURES ARE IMPORTANT TO THEIR COUNTRY

Students must write a short caption for each picture and will write out a narration for each picture which the student will narrate in class. Below are various website that give details for in-depth information for countries of the world. World Book Online and Facts on File require usernames and passwords that I will give to you in class.
